From Striving to Staying

For a long time, I thought faith was about trying harder.

Trying to be better. Trying to do more. Trying to become the person I thought God wanted me to be.

What I eventually discovered is that real transformation does not come from striving. It comes from staying connected to the One who changes us from the inside out.

My journey has taken me through seasons of success, failure, restoration, leadership, ministry, and some of the most challenging health struggles of my life. Through every season, God has faithfully reminded me of one simple truth: apart from Him, we can do nothing.

I am a Christian author, speaker, teacher, and lifelong student of God's Word. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and an MBA in Healthcare Management, and I have spent much of my professional career leading teams, developing people, and helping organizations grow. While I am grateful for those experiences, my greatest passion has always been helping people discover who God is and what it means to walk closely with Him.

In recent years, God opened doors for me to begin writing. What started as a simple act of obedience has grown into a calling to create resources that help people deepen their faith and build a genuine relationship with the Holy Spirit. My books range from children's stories that teach biblical truths to devotional and discipleship resources designed to help believers move beyond surface-level Christianity and experience lasting transformation.

When I'm not writing, speaking, or serving in ministry, you'll often find me reading, exploring new places, spending time with friends and family, teaching, or curled up with my cat, Piper.

Everything I create is built around one central mission:

To help people know God more deeply, remain connected to the Holy Spirit, grow into spiritual maturity, and discover the purpose God has placed on their lives.

Thank you for being here. Whether you found your way through one of my books, a speaking event, a Bible study, or a simple online search, my prayer is that something you find here encourages you to take one more step closer to Jesus.

Because at the end of the day, this was never about trying harder.

It has always been about staying closer.

The Scriptures That Guide My Life

Throughout my walk with God, five passages have continually shaped how I understand His purpose and calling for my life. I often think of them as a roadmap that God has given me, and they must be read in this order:

James 1:2-5 (NASB)

*"Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Philippians 2:13 (NASB)

*"…for it is God who is at work in you, both to desire and to work for His good pleasure.”

Philippians 3:13-14 (NASB)

*"Brothers and sistes, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Colossians 2:2-3 (NASB)

*"…that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and that they would attain to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is Christ himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Colossians 1:28-29 (NASB)

*"We proclaim Him, admonishing every person and teaching every person with all wisdom, so that we may present every person complete in Christ. For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power which works so mightily within me.”
